How PredictionMarketsInsights (PMI) handles data. See the Terms of use for how the service operates.
Last updated: August 10, 2026
Scope
This policy describes how PredictionMarketsInsights (PMI) handles data through its website. It does not cover third-party platforms linked from the site.
Account data
Accounts use a name, email address, and password hash. PMI uses this data to provide accounts and control access to restricted areas. Authentication sessions may store an IP address and user agent for security and session management. Sessions use httpOnly secure cookies.
Public analytics
Public pages record page views and research events: page type, entity, platform, path, deployment environment, and timestamp. Analytics events do not include your IP address and are not linked to an account.
Feedback submissions
Issue reports are optional. PMI stores the message you submit together with page context and submission metadata, such as the page type, entity, platform, path, timestamp, and your account when you are signed in. PMI staff review submitted messages in an internal queue.
Feedback abuse controls convert the reporter IP address into an HMAC-SHA256 hash before storing the feedback record. The feedback record does not contain the raw reporter IP address. Duplicate detection uses a content hash derived from the message and page entity.
Service providers
Cloudflare provides hosting, delivery, and database services. Google Fonts provides site typography. PMI also uses OpenAI tools for internal market-data processing. PMI does not intentionally send account data or feedback messages to OpenAI. These providers process data under their own policies.
Data security
PMI uses access controls and secure session cookies to protect stored data. Feedback messages are stored as submitted. No internet service can guarantee complete security.
Your choices
You can browse public pages without an account. Analytics events are not linked to an account. You can choose not to submit feedback. Signing out ends your session.
Data retention
PMI keeps account and session data while needed to provide and secure the service. PMI currently keeps analytics and feedback records without a fixed deletion schedule. PMI may delete records when they are no longer useful or required.
Source platforms
Trade links and exchange-source links open third-party platforms. Your use of those platforms follows their own terms and privacy policies, not this one.
Changes to this policy
PMI may update this policy when its data practices change. The updated policy takes effect when posted with a new date.
